Harold F. Beil, 81, of Whitehall, passed away Monday January 21, 2013 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twsp. He was the husband of Shirley (Minnich) Beil; they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary this past June. Born in Petersville, Northampton County, he was the son of the late Bert and Annie (Smith) Beil. He was an honorably discharged veteran, serving in the US Army during the Korean War and was the recipient of the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Korean War Service Medal, US Army Good Conduct Medal, and the Bronze Star with V Device Medal. Harold was the owner/operator of Harold F. Beil Builder & Contractor, Lehigh Twsp. for 40 years. He was one of the founders, and officer of the Blue Mountain Snowmobile Club, and was a volunteer with the Northampton County Emergency Civil Defense Response Team. Survivors: Wife; daughters; Colleen L. and husband Dean A. Spadt of Northampton, Tammy A. Beil of Blue Bell; grandchildren; Brian D. Spadt and wife Kelli, Eric A. Spadt and wife Stacy; great grandchildren; Dylan, Makenzie, and Chase. Services: Private Graveside service at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
