Hazel M. (Flick) Wehr Kidd, 91, of Slatington, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Lizas House, Danielsville. She was the wife of the late Frederick W. Kidd and Walter W. Wehr. Born in Nazareth, September 28, 1921, Hazel was the daughter of the late Granville F. and Annie M. (Mayer) Flick. She faithfully and honorably served her country in the U.S. Army during World War II with a WAC Detachment at Camp Shanks, New York. Hazel was employed as a bookkeeper for the former Holiday Fashions in Slatedale for 16 years before retiring in 1981. Prior to that, she worked for the former Marcus Undergarments for 19 years. She was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ, Slatington. Survivors: Brother, Samuel A. Flick and his wife, Mary, of Stroudsburg; sister, Hannah L. Daubenspeck of Slatington; nieces; and nephews; predeceased by siblings, Stella G. Scheirer and Norman A. Flick. Service: Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m., Friday, November 30, 2012 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with Pastor Henry A. Distler officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Friday in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Union Cemetery, Slatington.
