Jay R. Brubaker, 88, of East Allen Twp., passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at his residence. Born on November 23, 1925, in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Samuel D. and Mae (Snyder) Brubaker. Jay and his wife, the former Pauline M. Wagner, observed their 58th wedding anniversary in November. He was employed as a mechanic for 31 years at Keystone Cement Co., Bath, until retiring. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Jay was a member of Christ Church, UCC, Bath, where he served as an elder and was a past youth fellowship leader. Jay was a member and 32nd degree mason of the Manoquesy Lodge No. 413 F.& A.M. He was a member of the Rajah Shriners, past president of the Bethlehem Shrine Club, past president of the Shrine Hospital Service, and he was a member of the Calypso Chapter No. 163 Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Pauline M.; he is survived by sons, Gerald J. Brubaker and his wife Wanda of Schnecksville, PA, Robert C. Brubaker and his wife Tonya of San Diego, CA; daughter, Debra P. Ostrowski and her husband Clark of Collegeville, PA; sisters, Anna Mae Fridirici, Nancy Reichert; four grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren. Jay was preceded in death by one brother; and two sisters. Services: Will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 2, 2013 in Christ Church, UCC, 109 S. Chestnut St., Bath, PA. Call, Sunday evening, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bartholomew Funeral Home, 243 S. Walnut St., Bath and again on Monday, from 10 to 11 a.m., in the church. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jays memory may be made to Christ Church, UCC 109 S. Chestnut Street, Bath, PA 18014.
