John Hnatow, 89, of Northampton passed away peacefully February 18, 2014 at his home. He was the husband of the late Stella (Krasnopera) Hnatow who died February 10, 2011. He was born April 1, 1924 in Northampton and he was the son of the late Konstantin and Xenia (Yowyk) Hnatow. John worked as a master mechanic in changeover at Mack Trucks Inc. He honorably served his country in the United States Army Air Corps in World War II
. John was a member of Assumption of the Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Northampton. Survivors:
Sons, John Hnatow Jr., and his wife Jessie, of Northampton, Michael Hnatow and his companion, Marie Grebenchenko, of Northampton; daughter, Linda Hnatow and her husband, Michael Tilson, of Oxford, PA; three grandchildren, Tom, Joel and his wife Katie, Justin and his wife Susan; brothers, Anthony Hnatow and his wife Betty, of Bath, Paul Hnatow, and his wife Delores, of Bethlehem. John was predeceased by his sister, Anna Hirschman. Services:
Burial Services will be Monday, February 24 at 10 a.m. in Assumption of the Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1301 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call Sunday evening 6 to 8 p.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton and Monday 9 to 10 a.m. in the Church.
