John M. Torok, Jr.
John M. Torok, Jr., 79, of Allentown died Tuesday, July 16, in his home surrounded by his loving family. John and his wife Anna Marie M. (Bacher) Torok celebrated 57 years of marriage on June 30. Born January 27, 1934 in the Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late John and Theresa (Sakasitz) Torok. John was a roofing estimator for various roofing companies for many years. He honorably served his country in the United States Army
during the Korean Conflict
. He was a very active member of the Catholic War Veterans Post # 454, of Northampton. He was past commander from 2007-2010, he was a member of the funeral Honor Guard and he was presently serving as adjutant. John was very instrumental in the renovation project at the Northampton Veteran Memorial. He was a member of the St. Peter & Paul Hungarian Hall, Northampton. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Allentown. Survivors:
His wife, Anna Marie; daughter, Kathy A., wife of Dominic Molinari, of Allentown; son, John J. Torok, III and his wife Diane, of Allentown; six grandchildren, Anthony, Alissa, Nicholas, Rachel, John IV and Sarah; sister, Patricia Ann, wife of Seth Webb, of Langley, Washington. John was predeceased by his brother, Frank Torok and his granddaughter, Anna Diana Torok. Services:
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 20, at 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1046 W. Cedar St., Allentown, PA. Family and friends may call Friday, 6 to 8 p.m., in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton and Saturday, 9 to 9:45 a.m. in the church. Burial with military honors will follow in the Laurel Cemetery, Whitehall. Contributions:
