Kenneth O. Marks
Kenneth O. Marks, 90, of Emmaus, passed away in his home on September 21, 2013. Born in Vera Cruz, he was the son of the late Ralph O. and Hattie E. (Stickler) Marks. He was the husband of Eleanor Rose (Wertman) Marks and they were married for the past 68 years. He married his high school sweetheart shortly after the war. Kenneth served in the Marine Corps. during World War II and he served in the reserves for over 20 years. Kenneth was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 1941. Kenneth was employed at Mack Trucks for 43 years until retiring as a final inspector at the Macungie plant. He was a member of VFW Post 9264, Macungie and its Honor Guard. Kenneth was a member of Zions Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville. Survivors: Wife; daughter, Patricia; sisters, Esther Slack, Eleanor Miller, Joyce Reichelderfer, Mildred Endy and her husband, Donald, Doris Moore and her husband, Patrick, Alverda Grello; brother, Larry and his wife, Ann. Kenneth was predeceased by his daughter, Kathleen Eleanor Rose; and his brother, Marvin R. Marks. Services: 1:30 p.m., Friday, September 27, at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm Street, Emmaus. A viewing will take place from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
