Lester C. Bachman, 84, of Whitehall passed away peacefully on Saturday January 25, 2014 in the inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of the late Doris (Sillmann) Bachman who died January 13, 1992. He was born October 31, 1929 in Butztown, PA, and he was the son of the late Harold Bachman Sr., and the late Dorothy (Peters) Bachman. Lester was the owner and operator of Less T.V. in Whitehall for many years. He was also an archery instructor at Archery @ the Glenn in Allentown, where he was known as Coach. Lester and his wife Doris were champion archers in the 60s and 70s. He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Survivors: son, Barry L. Bachman and his companion, Mary Beth Kelly, of Whitehall; sister-in-law, Nancy, wife of Joseph Kopecki, of Macungie; sisters, Doris Nickischer, of Coplay, Alice, wife of Darrell Shellhammer, of Whitehall; three step grandchildren, Stephanie, wife of Christopher Baer, Christopher Sacripanti and Lindsey Faust. Lester was predeceased by a brother, Harold Bachman Jr., a sister, Janice Schuler and a brother-in-law, William Nick Nickischer. Services: Funeral Services will be Wednesday, January 29 at 1 p.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home 326 E. 21st St. Northampton. Family and friends may call Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 12 to 1 p.m. Burial with military honors will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Allentown.
