Linda L. Lieberman, 66, of Lower Macungie Twp. passed away on November 18, 2012 after a three-year battle with Lou Gehrigs disease (ALS). Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Lt. Col. Gerald W. and Betty J. (Griffith) Geist. She was the wife of Ira Lieberman, and the couple celebrated 43 years of marriage. Linda graduated from Mansfield University and obtained her masters equivalency through studies at Kutztown and Penn State Universities. She taught home economics at various local schools until retiring from Nazareth High School in 2002. Linda was a member of Congregation Keneseth Israel, Allentown. She was an active member of the Emmaus Womens Club, where she held various offices, including president. Linda also served two terms as president of the Jaycee Wives of Allentown and she was an avid bridge player, achieving a Junior Masters status. Survivors: Husband; sons, Marc Lieberman and his wife, Jennifer of Herndon, VA, Scott Lieberman and his wife, Andrea of Annandale, VA; five grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Geist Giacomini of Chester County, Susan Geist Layne of Media. Services: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 21 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th and Hamilton Streets, Allentown. Calling period will take place from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
