Michael J. Tockash, 79, of Pen Argyl, passed away, Sunday, September 1, 2013, at the Hospice House of the VNA of St. Lukes, Lower Saucon Township. He was the husband of Theresa H. (Horky) Tockash, they celebrated 57 years of marriage, June 9, 2013. Born in Pen Argyl, December 7, 1933, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Mollner) Tockash. Prior to retiring in 1987, he was the owner and operator of Tockash Floor and Wall Covering, Pen Argyl. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Bangor. Michael was a 1951 graduate of Pen Argyl High School and a US Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He enjoyed playing golf, at which he recorded two holes in one, fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed following the Pen Argyl Green Knight football team and Notre Dame football. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Theresa, he is survived by a niece, Renee M. Madea; and a nephew, Kalman Illyes. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 7, 2013, at 10 a.m., at St. Elizabeths Catholic Church, 300 W. Babbitt Ave., Pen Argyl. There will be a viewing Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Guerro & Ruggiero Funeral Home, www.ruggierofuneralhome.com, 126 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Pen Argyl, and Saturday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in St. Elizabeths Cemetery, Pen Argyl. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 436 S. 2nd St., Bangor, PA 18013 or St. Elizabeths Building Fund, 300 W. Babbitt Ave., Pen Argyl, PA 18072.
