Nicole Heather Ix
Nicole Heather (Molloy) Ix, born May 14, 1966 in Dublin, Ireland, died February 16, 2013. She moved to Allentown, PA in 1969 and then moved to San Francisco in 1984. She was a 1984 graduate of William Allen High School and a 1985 graduate of California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. Nicole owned and operated Cafe Soleil with her husband. She put her heart and soul into the family business. She loved to regale us with stories of the colorful characters among her loyal customers. Her Cafe is a popular breakfast and lunch destination in Cesar Chavez Park in downtown Sacramento. In the 1980s and 1990s, she was a chef and baker in finer San Francisco restaurants including Bentleys Oyster Bar, Cafe Scherer and The Original Scotts Seafood Restaurant. She had great love for children and her favorite pastimes included garage sales, playing scrabble and gardening. Survivors:
Survived by husband, Jorge Ix; daughter, Yesenia Ix; son, Niall Ix; nephew, Isaak Ix; mother, Yvonne Voigt Molloy; sisters, Honor Molloy, Noelle Molloy; brothers, David, Simon. She will also be sorely missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by sister, Shivaun Molloy. Services:
Celebrations of Nicoles life will be scheduled in Sacramento and Allentown.
