Paul D. Cressman
Paul D. Cressman, 93, formerly of Inverness, FL, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Whitehall Manor. He was the husband of the late Elsie (Gemberling) Cressman who died in 1985. Paul later married Blanche (Brown) Cressman who died in 2002. Born in Bethlehem on November 9, 1919, he was a son of the late Ralph and Anna (Davis) Cressman. Paul attended Slatington High School and later honorably served in the United States Navy
during World War II
. He proudly continued his service to county by serving for more than 20 years in the Naval Reserve. Paul was a member of the Steamfitters Local 420, Philadelphia for 20 years before retiring. Additionally, he owned and operated Cressman Plumbing & Heating in Hellertown for several years. He was a life-member of the American Legion, Catasauqua as well as a member of the Fleet Reserves and the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church both of Florida. Paul was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his daughter, Ellen Proctor and her husband, Tim of Danielsville; grandson, Sean Proctor of Catasauqua; brothers, George Cressman and his wife, Betty of Virginia Beach, VA and Ralph Cressman of New York; sister, Carolyn Lendvay of Emmaus; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his first wife, Elsie and second wife, Blanche, he was preceded in death by his loving companion, Harriet Rice in 2008; a sister, Eleanor George and four brothers, Donald, Tilghman, Frankie and Clarence Cressman.
