Dr. Peter A. Keblish, Jr., 74, orthopaedic surgeon and co-founder of OAA Orthopaedic Specialists, died Tuesday evening, January 25, in Idaho Falls, Idaho while on a ski trip in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He died 0of a heart attack. Dr. Keblish was the son of the late Sally and Peter Keblish Sr., of Glen Lyon, PA. He was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a two time captain of the Varsity football team and Hahnemann University Medical School. He did his orthopaedic training in the Army, and served in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star. He served as Chief of Orthopaedics at the Lehigh Valley Hospital and the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital. He has received numerous national and international honors including being listed in the 2006 Guide to Americas Top Surgeons and receiving the Sir John Charnley Award-Arthritis Foundation 2001. Survivors: He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth, with whom he celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary on November 28. Additional survivors are his sons, Gary, Paul, David and Peter III Keblish; his stepsons, Christopher, David and Jeffrey Sinclair; and his daughters in law, Tamara, Tracy, Julie and Colleen Keblish, and Sandra and Natalie Sinclair. In addition he had 14 grandchildren. Services: Calling hours, The family will receive visitors between 4:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, February 4, at the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th and Hamilton Streets, Allentown. Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 5, at 11 a.m., Central Moravian Church, Main and Church Streets, Bethlehem, PA. Interment will be private. Contributions: No flowers please, but any one wishing to make donations on his behalf, please do so at the Lehigh Valley Hospital Center or the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital.
