Robert T. Duddy, 95, of Allentown, formerly of Reading, PA, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013. Robert was a devoted son of the late Patrick J. and Mary J. (Morris ) Duddy. Robert had been a member and a Lector at St. Catherine of Siena, Mt. Penn, Reading. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Force during WWII. Robert was a graduate of Notre Dame in 1950, and the University of Pennsylvania in 1952. He worked as the Superintendent of Recreation for the City of Reading prior to his retirement. He was a PIAA track official for 75 years. Robert had a special passion for world travel, has attended 13 Olympic Games, loved photography, and genealogy. He enjoyed acting with local theatre groups. Thank you for the Sunday hikes and sharing all your memories. We will remember to Keep Christ in Christmas. Survivors: Surviving is his brother, Bernard A. Duddy; and his sister, Rosemary (Duddy) McFadden, both of Allentown. He was a favorite uncle, role model, and friend to numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews whose lives he influenced and touched. Robert was predeceased by his brothers, Rev. Patrick A. Duddy, Charles V. Duddy, and William J. Duddy. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena in Allentown. Calling will be on Thursday from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. in the Cathedral. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Reading, PA. Arrangements entrusted to the ODonnell Funeral Home, Allentown.
