Ruth E. Bleiler
Ruth E. Bleiler, 92, of New Tripoli, PA. died Sunday, November 11, 2012 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, PA. She was the wife of the late Alfred C. Bleiler. She was born on April 12, 1920, in Philadelphia , a daughter of the late George J. and Adah J. ((Bachman) Bausch. She graduated from Slatington High School, and later from Cedar Crest College. Ruth taught Home Economics at Slatington High School and later was a substitute teacher at Northwestern High School in New Tripoli, Pa. She was a former 4-H leader and an active member of the U.C.C. Congregation of St. Peters Union Church, Lynnville, Pa.,where she served as a former choir member and sunday school teacher. Ruth was a charter member of the Ontelaunee Lioness Club, New Tripoli, PA. Survivors: Includes a daughter, Judith A. , wife of Sterling M. Ritter and a son, Richard A. Bleiler, and his wife Bonita L. , both of New Tripoli, PA; also five grandchildren, Kelly Matulevich, Karin Bowman, Seth Bleiler, Christian Bleiler and Elizabeth Paris; and six great-grandchildren, Lauren, Aubrey, Evan, Shawn, Trevor and Darren. Services: Her Funeral Service will on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the St. Peters Union Church, 5129 Shochary Road, Lynnville, PA. 18066, with Pastor Carol L. Ivey officiating. Calling hours will preceed the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. Intertment will be in the adjoining cemetery. The Nester Funeral Home- New Tripoli, PA. is in charge of the arrangements.
