Thomas J. Cooper
Thomas J. Cooper, 65, of Allentown, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of his beloved wife, Diane M. (Kemmerer) Cooper, who passed away two weeks ago. Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late Frederick and Ann (Beyak) Cooper. For the past 10 years, he was an adjunct technology professor of electronics at Northampton Community College, Bethlehem. Prior, he worked for over 30 years at Bethlehem Steel as a motor inspector and was a member the United Steel Workers Union, Local 2599. During the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Army. He was a former member of Trinity E.C. Church, Allentown. When Tom had the chance, he would enjoy a game of golf. Survivors: Son, Tim C. and his wife, Angela R., of Allentown; daughter, Amy C. Cooper-McCormick and her husband, Sean, of Perkasie; brother, Fred D. and his wife, Kathy, of L. Saucon Twp.; and grandson, Ezra. Services: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 19, 2013, at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown. Calling will begin at 9:30 a.m. Burial with military honors to follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
