Walter A. Konieczny
Walter A. Konieczny, 90, of Hellertown, died Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of the late of Josephine (Becker) Konieczny, who died October 29, 2013. Born in Sellersville on October 28, 1923 to the late Andrew and Katherine (Shado) Konieczny, he served our country faithfully in the US Navy
during World War II
. Walter worked in Bethlehem Steel Aviation for 33 years until retiring. He previously worked at Hunter Spring Company, Lansdale on the assembly line for eight years. He was a member of the Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, Hellertown, where he served as Eucharistic Minister, Past Present of the Holy Name Society, St. Theresas New Beginners Senior Citizens, and Edward H. Ackerman Legion Post #397. Survivors:
Children, Gregory W. at home, Constance D. Clement of Allentown; sister, Helen J. Janus of Sellersville; granddaughters, Kimberly A. Rosado and Katherine J. Holva; one great-granddaughter, Julena M. Coulter. Predeceased by brothers, John E. and Stanley. Services:
Family and friends are invited to call 9 to 10 a.m., Friday, November 22, 2013, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at the Church, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown.
