Wayne Bloomberg, 66, of Northampton died unexpectedly Tuesday January 8, in Pocono Medical Center. Wayne and his wife Danielle (Mihalko) Bloomberg would have been married 41 years on January 22. Born September 10, 1946 in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Everet and Lenore (Long) Bloomberg. Wayne was a wage practice consultant at AT&T - Agere until his retirement in 2003. He was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church Northampton. Wayne honorably served his country in the United States Army. He served as a Lieutenant in Vietnam and a Captain in the USAR. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Wilkes College. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Danielle; daughter, Inger, wife of Eugene Cierniak, of Middletown, DE; son, Andrew Bloomberg, of Allentown; two grandchildren, Jacob and Anders; sister, Sandra Bloomberg Chardavoyne, of Brooklyn, NY; brother-in-law, Michael Mihalko and his wife Katherine, of Myerstown; sister-in-law, Leona Mihalko, of Stratford, CT; mother-in-law, Ann Kovatch, of St. Clair; two nieces, Andrea and Marisa Mihalko. Services: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 14 at 10 a.m. at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 22nd and Washington Ave. Northampton. Burial with Military Honors will be in Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
