Whitford R. Dick Dickinson, Jr., 83, of Macungie, died October 3, 2012, in the Phoebe Home. He was the husband of Eleanor R. (Teada) Dickinson, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Hummels Wharf, he was the son of the late Hilda (Clark) and Whitford R. Dickinson, Sr. He honorably served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Mack Trucks, Inc. for 18 years as an expediter, retiring in 1984. Prior to that he was a golf professional at Sunbury and Clinton Country Clubs. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Macungie. Survivors: Wife; son, John Dickinson and wife, Allie; daughter, Shirley, wife of Kenneth Ritter; grandchildren, Brian Ritter, Kristin Haupt, Casey Kanther, Kyle Burns, Christy Sorrentino, Michael Dickinson, and Rachel Dickinson; six great grandchildren. Services: Funeral Services, Saturday, October 6, 2012, at 10:30 a.m., in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
