William D. Duch
William D. Bill Duch, 60 years, of Catasauqua died Sunday, March 31, 2013 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Wendy M. (Foster) Duch. Born in Northampton he was the son of the late William D. Duch Sr. and Winifred (Schmidt) Duch. Most recently Bill had worked as a concrete cutter and foremen for Hafner and Son of Northampton and previously he was employed as an assembly line worker for Mack Trucks of Allentown. Bill attended St. Lawrence Catholic School and graduated from Northampton High School. He served in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. Seattle A.O.E.-3. Bill was a member of the Catasauqua Fire Rescue Squad, a former president of the Catasauqua Ambulance Corp. and a member of the Cetronia Ambulance Corp. He and his family attended the Salem United Church of Christ of Catasauqua. Survivors: Surviving with his wife is daughter, Jennifer Johnson; son, William R. and wife Tammy Duch; daughters, Kelly Duch, Erin Rankin, Kristen Gualtieri and Ashley Retzler; sister, Barbara Baer; brothers, Daniel and Joseph Duch; Bills grandchildren are Megan, Brian, Brandon, Kayla, Jakob, Janessa, Kylie, Rayanna, Ava, Aiden, Liana and Gigi; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Services: Funeral services will be 12 noon Friday, April 5, in Salem U.C.C., 615 Third St., Catasauqua. His viewing will be 10 to 11:30 a.m., Friday, at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua prior to the services in the church.
