William Milton Strunk
William Milton Strunk, 92, of Bethlehem passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 in Marlton, NJ. A native of Union County, he was born in Mifflinburg, January 27, 1921 a son of the late Herbert Spessard and Mary Elizabeth (Miller) Strunk. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Beatrice May Anthony, April 30, 2008 after 62 years of marriage. He was a graduate of the Mifflinburg High School in 1939, received a BS at Bucknell University and his MD from Temple University School of Medicine. He served with the Navy from 1946 to 1967 retiring as a Captain (06). After he retired from the Navy, he was a physician (radiologist) at Bethlehem Radiology Associates for 26 years. William was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ Mifflinburg, the American Medican Assn., Pennsylvania Medical Assn., Mifflinburg Masonic Lodge #370, enjoyed gardening raising both vegetables and roses. William is survived by three children, Dr. William M. Strunk II and his wife Jean of Knoxville, IA, Margaret E. Finger of Marlton, NJ and Gwendolyn M. Hamilton and her husband Dale of Murfreesboro, TN; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert K. Strunk. Services:
Masonic Services will be conducted Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, Market and 8th Streets, Lewisburg with funeral to follow with Rev. Dawn Marie Meier officiating. Burial will follow in the Mifflinburg Cemetery with military honoes provided by Mifflinburg area veterans. Contributions:
