Thomas Clifford Sadler Jr., Esq., 66, of Allentown died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 in his home. He was the husband of Cynthia L. (Cohen) Sadler. They celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on June 18. Born in Allentown on October 10, 1943, he was the son of the late Thomas C. and Lorraine Mae (Kressler) Sadler. He was a 1961 graduate of William Allen High School and received a Bachelors Degree from Gettysburg College in 1965. He continued his education at the Temple University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate. He has been a member of the Law Firm of Tallman Hudders and Sorrentino, Allentown since 1977 and was a member of the Law Firm of Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, Somerville, NJ. Previously he was associated with the Law Firm of Morgan Lewis and Bockius from 1970 to 1977. He was a member of the Board of the Minsi Trails Council Boy Scouts of America and served on the Executive Committee and provided legal counsel. He was a former member and past board member of the Kiwanis Club of Allentown. He was a former board member and had served as legal counsel to Brookside Country Club and Hospital Central Services Corporation. He was a past President of the Lehigh County Bar Association. He was a former member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates and had served as Chairman on the Committee on Environmental Law. He was a Master of the American Inns of Court. He served as the Editor of the Temple Law Quarterly. A 32nd Degree Mason, he had been a member of Masonic Lodge #3, Philadelphia. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Allentown. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War having been awarded the Bronze Star. Survivors: Wife; son, Reid T. Sadler and his wife Kim of Carmel, IN; daughter, Kristin B. Sadler of Whitehall; brother, Scott C. Sadler and his wife Jennifer of Potomac Falls, VA; sisters, Sharon wife of Alan Scholl of Charlottesville, VA, Cindy Sadler of NJ; beloved grandsons,Brayden Sadler and Logan Sadler of Carmel, IN. Services: A celebration of Thomass life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2009 in the Sanctuary of The First Presbyterian Church of Allentown, 3231 W. Tilghman St., Allentown. Call 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2009 in the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th & Hamilton Sts., Allentown and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2009 in the church. Interment in the church memorial garden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Thomass memory to the , Lehigh Valley Unit, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
