Dear Lee and Gary,
The class of 1936 reunion members are sending their love and prayers to you on September 15 at the service for your dear mother. I am the daughter of Herman and Rosina Bierbaum, and 'crashed' many of the official and unofficial celebrations of that great class.
We'll never forget the fabulous 70th anniversary party and dinner when an amazing 155 of that class were still alive, and at least 80 had returned to remember those years in Bethlehem. As the current principal of Liberty noted, our parents truly are ‘the greatest generation'!
Gerry was really such a wonderful heart and soul of that reunion group, and I am honored to have spent time with her. Mom and Dad will miss her greatly, and I've told the other class members in Moravian Village about your call. Alas, in the last year, Dad and Mom have been confined to wheelchairs, and will not be able to be at the graveside ceremony on September 15, but rest assured that they, Hilma Myers, Betty Hoch, and Grace Long will be sending prayers heavenward from Moravian Village. Your mom was an amazing lady, and we were all blessed by her kindness, her friendship, her loyalty and her wit.
The April meeting of the planning committee at Moravian Village just wasn't the same without her, and Hilma said some lovely words in her memory and Mom said a special prayer. Rest assured, dear Gerry will never be forgotten.
Sincerely,
Herman and Rosina Bierbaum, and Rosina Jr.

I am so sorry to hear of Gerry's passing. I did get a message re her condition several weeks ago, but the caller did not leave a phone number. If you did not get someone to handle the service, please contact me. My sympathies to you all. Marve and Gerry were close friends with my parents and they spent many happy times together. Carol Dague
