Seifert, Merritt E.Merritt E. Seifert, 89, of Hellertown, formerly of: Springtown, died Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown. He is the husband of the late Gladys L. (Leith) Seifert (died December 21, 2012). Merritt was born in Hellertown on December 13, 1925 to the late Herbert S. Seifert and Emma Frankenfield. He served our country faithfully in the US Army during WWII. Merritt worked at the former Bethlehem Steel in the Brass Foundry for many years until retiring. He is a member of New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lower Saucon Twp., Spring Valley Sportsman's Club, & Beethoven Waldheim, Hellertown. Survivors: Children: Shelby A. Robinson of Hellertown, Wayne E. Seifert of Center Valley, Terry L. wife of J.C. Ravier of Hellertown; grandson: Joshua A. Ravier. Predeceased by siblings: Michael Frankenfield, Richard Frankenfield, Pearl Miller and Stanley Seifert. Services: Family and friends are invited to call 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street - Hellertown followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
