Ann McKernan Obituary
Ann C. (nee Green) McKernan, May 25, 2013, of Radnor, PA and Avalon, NJ. Born in Chester, PA. Daughter of the late John P. and Elizabeth Green. Treasured wife of 55 years to Thomas W. McKernan. Ann was a 1955 graduate of Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She was an avid tennis player and lover of all growing things. Ann was a former officer of the Mothers Clubs of St. Josephs Prep and the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur. Survivors: Loving mother of Thomas J. (Julie), Geoffery T. (Nancy), Nancy Lavin (Mike), Susie, Katie Bernecker (Chris), and William T. (Cindy). Beloved Grammy of Bryan (Meg), Kevin, Brendan, Geoffrey, Elizabeth, Will, Meg, Grace, Christopher, Max, Danielle, Will, Charlie, and Ella. Dear sister of Frances Lorine (Tony) and the late John Green, Jane Lunn, and Catherine Green. Services: Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, June 1, 10 a.m., Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 31 Pennswood Rd., Bryn Mawr, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation at the church on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. or Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Dear Mr. McKernan, Nancy and the entire family -- Mrs. McKernan was truly one of God's gifts - and one with a fantastic sense of humor. Nancy and Meg's friendship spawned a lifelong friendship between our families. All the Connors have been blessed by this friendship. Mrs. McKernan's energy and passion and kindheartedness served as the perfect foil to Mr. McKernan's playfulness. They were such a fun couple to be around and my parents love them both so much - as do we all. We are praying for everybody.

What a pleasure to have met Ann 4 years ago! She was a wonderful friend who loved God and her family. We shared many good times together during the summers in Avalon. I will always remember her infectious laugh and most of all the ability to laugh at herself!
