Alison, Danielle, Michael, and Family words can not begin to discribe the horrific time you must be going through. Joe was taken from us way to soon. Over the these past few days I was recalling of the times at his parent's, Uncle Joe and Aunt Helen, house and the great pool partys we use to have. Then there was the time when his family and mine when to my parent's house in Canada for a week. Being the outdoorsmen, he enjoyed the fishing and boating. And who could forget those memorable Christmases at Grammy's house.
May he sleep in Christ until we meet him again! RIP - "Little Joey"

Sommer family,
I am so deeply sorry to hear of this sad news. Joe welcomed me some time ago to the Northampton wrestling community and we had so many great conversations during Mike's days of wrestling. My heart goes out to all of you during this very difficult time.

The Sommer Family,
With deepest sympathy: May you find peace and comfort in the days ahead. Although it is difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may the memories you look back on help comfort every tomorrow.
Joey and I grew up literally in adjoining back yards. Although we had not been in contact much since graduation, I still laugh remembering that he told his mom he would use a ladder to climb up to my bedroom window. Obviously much has changed in the years gone by, but his friendship will always remain with me.
Rest in Peace Joey

To the Sommer family

How sorry I was to hear of joey's death. Growing up he was like a second son to me as he and Wayne were always together. They were either at our house or at the Sommer home. I was forever treating cuts, scrapes, sprains and strains. Joey was always very polite. He was always full of fun and sometimes a bit on the mischievous side as teenage boys could be but together wayne and Joey shared a wonderful friendship. And so today, it is with great sadness that I bid farewll to dear Joey. My love and sympathy to the entire Somme family. God be with you all

Dear Sommer Family:

I am deeply saddened and hurt to hear about Joe. I work for the City of Allentown and came to know Joe thru our work relationship. He was a very kind, caring, hard working man. He shared the loss of his son and just his life in general in the many times he was in our office for HT Lyons work. He was a good man and as I learned over time much involved w/wrestling as coach. He will be truly missed. May God comfort your family during this tragedy. My sympathy to you all. He was loved by many.
