Richard Arner Obituary

Richard C. Arner, 77, of Allentown, died June 22, 2016. He was born in Allentown a son of the late Claude and Anna C. (King) Arner. He was employed as a printer for Bethlehem Steel before retiring in 1989. Richard had a genuine concern for protecting his fellow co-workers and served them as secretary of the United Steel Workers Union. He volunteered at the Good Shepherd Home in the activities department. Survivors: Son, Michael D. husband of Paula E. Arner of Allentown; daughter, Carolyn D. wife of Craig S. Bossler of Cresco, PA; brother, Donald husband of Gwen Arner of Berwyn Heights, MD; grandchildren, Rachel, Emily and Caleb; nieces and nephews. Services: 12:30 P.M. Saturday in the Stephens Funeral Home Inc. 274 North Krocks Road, Allentown. Call Noon- 12:30 P.M. Saturday in the funeral home. www.stephensfuneral.com.

I WORKED WITH DICK AT THE PRINTERY AND ALWAYS ENJOYED HIS SENSE OF HUMOR AND FRIENDLY PERSONALITY. I NEVER KNEW OR MET HIS WIFE OF FAMILY BUT I WOULD LIKE TO OFFER MY CONDOLENCES TO ALL OF THEM.
