Charles Bauer Sr. Obituary
Charles J. Bauer, Sr., 95, formerly of Center Valley, died in Sacred Heart Senior Living by the Creek, Saucon Valley. He was the husband of the late Erna Y. (Yost) Bauer. He was a teamster, driving for the former Arbogast & Bastian in Allentown, then for Penn State Paper and Box in Allentown for many years until retiring. He was a member of the Teamsters Local Union # 443. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Charles J. Bauer, Sr. and the late Frances (Groeller) Bauer. He was a 1935 graduate of Allentown High School. A U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, he was awarded the European Theater Ribbon, American Theatre Ribbon, Pacific Theater Ribbon and the Victory Medal. He was a member of the former Faith United Church of Christ, Allentown. Survivors: Sons: Ronald C. Bauer and his fiancee Joanne Jackson of Center Valley and Charles J. Bauer and his wife Sandy of Allentown; grandchildren: Keith, Kerri, Tommy, Matt and Laura; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers: Walter, Edward, Rowland and Alfred and sisters: Emma, Florence and Christine. Services: Funeral Service will be private, at the convenience of the family. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Heartland Hospice 881 Marcon Blvd., Suite 3700 Allentown, PA 18109. Arrangements by the J. S.
