Charles Kravetz, Sr.
Charles Kravetz, Sr., 93, of Edgemont Avenue, Palmerton, died Tuesday morning, January 8, 2013, at Blue Mountain Health Systems, Palmerton Campus. He was the husband of Olga (Fedorishen) Kravetz since July 3, 1948. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Stefan and Anastasia (Milko) Kravetz. Charles worked in general labor for the former NJ zinc Co., Palmerton, for over 40 years, retiring in 1980. He attended St. Vladimirs Ukrainian Catholic Church, Palmerton. A US Army Veteran of WWII, served in European Theatre, and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. Charles enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters, and watching a Phillies game. He was very handy, and could fix/repair just about anything. Survivors: Wife; daughters, Debra Ann wife of Gregg Fishman of Sacramento, CA, Melanie Kay wife of Clark Wentz of Palmerton; four granddaughters, Amanda, Alyssa, Jayna, and Danielle; sister, Anne wife of Walter Haftl of Gambrills, MD; brother, Mike and wife Gloria of Berlinsville; daughter-in-law, Deborah Ann Kravetz of Whitehall Township; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son, Charles Jr. in 1989; sister, Kathryn Kipila; brother, Nicholas. Services: Memorial services, 11 a.m., Saturday, Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071. Call, 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday in funeral home.
