Dennis D. Marsh
Dennis D. Marsh, 62, of Northampton, died Saturday, June 26, 2010. Born in Northampton, he was son of the late Alvin C., Jr. and Patience J. (Sheckler) Marsh. Dennis worked as parts clerk for Mack Trucks Corp., Allentown, for over 30 years, retiring last year. Previously, he worked for the Penske Corp, former Cross Country Clothes-Botany 500 Group, and Fernbrook Sportsware. Later, he worked parttime as bartender for the American Legion Post, Northampton. Dennis was a member of St. Pauls United Church of Christ, Northampton. He was a 1968 graduate of Northampton Area Senior High School. Dennis was an avid race fan, previously driving quarter midget cars, and then later assisting with Sprint Cars, Leindecker Team, He was a member of Triboro Sportmans Assn, Northampton School wrestling Club, and was an avid flea market enthusiast, and antique collector. Survivors: grandchildren; aunts, Irene (Sodl) Sheckler of Northampton, Nancy (Marsh) wife of Elton Johnson of Nazareth, Sara (Marsh) wife of Roy Weil of Lords Valley, Pike County; uncle, Luther Marsh of Schnecksville; cousins. He was predeceased by daughter, Denise M. (Marsh) Merhi; aunts, Edith Moyer, Betty Dech, Barbara Markf; and uncles, Kermit Marsh, Kenneth Sheckler. Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 335 MacArthur Road, Whitehall, PA 18052. Call, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday in church. Interment, 10 a.m. Saturday, Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Airport Road, Hanover Twp. Arrangements, Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton.
