Dorothy F. Fielding
Dorothy F. (Lanning) Fielding, 93, of Bethlehem died on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Henry M. and Minnie S. (Heyman) Lanning, and sister to the late William H. Lanning. She is the widow of John E. Fielding, Sr. who died May 20, 1978. A 1936 graduate of Liberty High School, Dorothy also graduated from Bethlehem Business College. In the mid-50s she was employed by Max Hess at Hess Brothers. Prior to her retirement in 1985, Dorothy worked for 25 years as a secretary to the Engineer of Tests in Fritz Engineering Lab at Lehigh University. From 1985 to 2007 Dorothy volunteered year-round in the Musikfest Office. Survivors: Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her sons, John E. Fielding and his wife Louise of Bethlehem and David J. Fielding and his wife Lorraine of Brant Beach, NJ; three daughters, Patricia M. Fielding of Bethlehem, Lucille Emerson and her husband Thomas of Emmaus and Nancy Mikitka and her husband Joseph of Bethlehem; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Services: Visitation will be at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 7 to 9 p.m. and St. Annes Catholic Church 450 Washington Ave., Bethlehem PA 18017 on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Following Mass the burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Contributions: Memorials can be made to Holy Family Manor 1200 Spring Street Bethlehem, PA 18018. Online condolences may be made to www.connellfuneral.com.
