Duane J. Holdren
Duane J. Holdren, 82, of Allentown, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 in his residence. He was the husband of Carolyn M. (Todd) Holdren. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in May 2012. Born in Omaha, NE, he was the son of the late Lyle B. and Carol A. (Vorel) Holdren. Duane was a messenger with a stock broker. He was also a delivery driver and worked in shipping and receiving for several companies. Duane served in the U.S. Air Force for eight years and served during the Korean War. He was a volunteer at the Allentown Osteopathic Hospital for 15 years. Mr. Holdren attended Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church, Allentown. Survivors: Wife; son, Keith A. Holdren and his wife Kathleen A. of Danielsville; daughter, Melody A. Schmidt and her husband Joseph A. of Center Valley; grandchildren, Helen Clark and her husband Forrest, Stephen Schmidt, Carol Schmidt, Glenn Schmidt, Tim Schmidt; great-grandchildren, Keily, Emily, Forrest, Jr. Duane is also survived by numerous cousins.
