Edward B. Cope
Edward B. Cope, 95, of Breinigsville, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Elizabeth I. (Seddon) to whom he was married 62 years. Born in Frackville, he was the son of the late Elmer G. and Mae (Shirey) Cope. Before retiring in 1980, he worked for U.S.P.S. in the Allentown area and previously at the former Callahans Tire Recapping. He was a former member of Seibert E.C. Church, Allentown, where he served as president of the Seiberts Mens Class for many years before moving to Florida in the mid-nineties. During WWII, he served as a Corporal in the Army Air Force. Survivors: Wife Elizabeth; sons Edward T. of Vienna, VA, Richard L., and his wife Cynthia M. of Breinigsville; brother George of Tamaqua; grandchildren, Cobie, Kyra and Jeffrey J. Jr., Angie, Gabe, Josh, Nathan and Reba. He was predeceased by a son Jeffrey J. in 1989. Services: Memorial, 11 a.m., Saturday, September 22, at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown.
