Edward A. Gabryluk
Edward A. Gabryluk, 82, of Northampton died Friday, August 23 in ManorCare, Bethlehem. Edward and his wife Krystyna (Kozakewc) Gabryluk would have been married 44 years in September. Born November 15, 1930 in Northampton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Joanne (Czyryk) Gabryluk. He graduated from Northampton High School in 1949. He worked at Graver Tank in Catasauqua as a welder and fitter. Edward enlisted in the United States Navy on February 12, 1952 and he retired May of 1972. His sea duty as an electrician consisted of the following ships, USS Cassin Young DD-793, USS Lewis Hancock DD-675, USS Thuban AK-19, USS Mountrail APA-213,USS Saratoga CV-60, USS Franklin D. Roosevelt CVA-42 and the USS Dewey DLG-14. He served as Senior Chief in the Public Works in Antarctica he served as an instructor on nuclear weapons in New Mexico. Survivors: Wife; brother, Joseph Gabryluk and his wife Katherine, of Northampton, extended family members in the Lehigh Valley and in Australia. Services: A Burial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday August 28th at 1:30 p.m. in the Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call Wednesday 12 to 1 p.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton.
