Frances Weigel Obituary

Frances S. Weigel
Frances S. Weigel, 88 yrs., of Honey Brook, formerly of Norwich, N.Y. died on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the Meadows Health Care Center at the Tel Hai Retirement Community, following the effects of Alzheimers disease. She was born in Norwich, N.Y., on January 16, 1920. She was the daughter of the late George R. and Ruth (VanEtten) Stellwalgen. She was the wife of the late Bernard L. Weigel. Prior to retirement, she was a secretary with Norwich Pharmaceutical, today known as Rohm and Haas Co. Survivors: She is survived by two sons, Gerald E. Weigel of Honey Brook, and James Weigel of Maine; two grandsons, Shawn and Scott Weigel both of Allentown, and six great-grandchildren. Frances was preceded in death by a baby son, Jon Weigel, a daughter, Janet Carlin and five brothers. Services: A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 10, from the chapel of the Tel Hai Retirement Community; 3100 Tel Hai Circle, Honey Brook, with Pastor Tim Herr officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends from 10:30-11 a.m. on Monday at the chapel. Arrangements by The Labs Funeral Home Inc., Honey Brook. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Frances to the Alzheimers Association, 114 East Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335 or www.alz.org.
