Frank J. Greber, 85, of Coopersburg, formerly of Ewing, NJ entered into eternal life while in the care of his family and staff of Valley Manor Nursing Home on Thursday, October 4, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Annette (Gaillard) Greber with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. Born in Hackensack, NJ, he was the son of the late Frank J. and Irene (Brennan) Greber. He attended the University of Buffalo and earned a BS in Education from New Jersey City University. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps and the U.S. Air Force during World War II and the Korean Conflict. After several years in the field of education he distinguished himself as an Executive Sales Representative with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. He was an active member of Incarnation Church (NJ) and The Church of the Assumption BVM (PA) and received his 4th Degree with the Knights of Columbus. Throughout his life, he was passionate about flying, his beach house, and playing his trombone. He served his community as a member of the Southern Lehigh School Board, Serra Club of Allentown, Boy Scouts of America, and enjoyed participating in the Experimental Aircraft Assoc. His greatest joy was his family. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Annette, are sons: Patrick T., husband of Elizabeth of Princeton Jct., NJ, Michael J. of Brooklyn, NY, James M., husband of Caroline of Powhatan, VA; daughters: Karen B., wife of Robert H. Shaffer of Coopersburg, Lauren M., wife of Jeffrey M. Shanahan of Lower Macungie; grandchildren: Christine; Rachele and Raphaela; Marc, Ty, and Luke; James and Megan; Amy, Matthew and Jake; great-granddaughter: Grace; and sister-in-law Barbara L. Hanson. He was predeceased by his sister, Irene Walsh. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in The Church of the Assumption BVM, 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike, Bethlehem. Call 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the church. Interment with Military honors will be in the Woodland Cemetery, Coopersburg. Arrangements by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc.
