George A. Geiger
George A. Geiger, 89, of Lakeville, PA, formerly of Hokendauqua died Monday, February 18, in the Hospice Unit of Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. He was the husband of the late Emaline F. (Lynn) Geiger who died in 1994. Born March 1, 1923 in Stiles, he was the son of the late George and Lillian (Grim) Geiger. George worked for Mack Trucks Inc., first in the paint department then in Quality Control. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during WW II. He was a member of the Hokendauqua American Legion Post # 739. He also worked a s a security guard at Briar Hill in Lakeville, Pa. George was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall. Survivors: Daughter, Linda L., wife of the late Dennis Wehr, of Coplay, and her children Wendy and Dennis Wehr, daughter, Susan J., wife of Frank Groller, of Coplay and their children, Garrett and Chad Grolle; great grandchildren, Zachary and Emily Wehr, Kyla and Lydia Groller; and two sisters. Services: Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 23rd at 11 a.m.in the Reichel Funeral Home 326 E. 21st St. Northampton. A viewing will be Saturday from 10 -11 a.m. The Reverend Michael J. Bodnyk will be the officiating clergy. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Coplay Cemetery. Contributions: memorials may be presented to the church c/o funeral home.
