Greenleaf, Helen M.Helen M. Greenleaf, 88, of Hanover Township, formerly of Easton, passed away, Sunday, March 23, 2014 in Westminster Village, Allentown. She was born June 30, 1925, in Wilson Borough, PA, a daughter of the late Edgar and Hilda M. Seip Hockman. Her husband, Lewis, died in 1973. She retired as a cafeteria worker in 1982 from the Easton Area School District. Years ago Helen worked at the former Woolworths, Dixie Cup Co., and Falk's Food Basket as a baker. She also was a caretaker for many elderly people in the area, including her long-time friend, Helen Dowling, who passed away several years ago. Helen was a volunteer for sixteen years at Notre Dame High School baking cookies for the kids until she was 85 years old. She was fondly referred to as the "Cookie Lady". She was a member of Arndt's Lutheran Church. Survivors: A son, Lewis A."Chip" Greenleaf, of Pen Argyl; four daughters, Linda M. Hawn, of Marion, SC, Marjorie M. Shoemaker, of Bath, Louann M. Coughlin, of Bethlehem and Judy J. Rogers, of Marion, SC and a brother, Larry Hockman, of Bath. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Elmer and Ervin Hockman and a step-sister, Florence Beck. Services: A memorial service will be held at 10:30am Wednesday in Arndt's Lutheran Church, 1851 Arndt Road, Forks Township. Call Wednesday 10-10:30am in the church. Burial will be in Arndt Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Easton.
