John P. Kane
John P. Kane, 52, of Budd Lake, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, January 31, 2014. John was born on September 28, 1961 in Teaneck, NJ to Claire (nee Mittl) and Matthew Joseph Kane. John was employed for 20 years with United Parcel Service as a mechanic and was also a former shop steward. In addition to his daughters and son in law, John loved spending time riding his motorcycle, attending NASCAR racing, and fishing. John will also be remembered for his generous community work with both Meals on Wheels and Al-Anon. Survivors: John is survived by his beloved parents, Claire and Matthew Kane; his adored children, Nicole Anders and her husband Scott of Pennsylvania, and Stephanie Kane of New York; his loving siblings, Christopher Kane and his wife Anne, Peter Kane and his wife Cathy, Barbara Kelly and her husband Ian, Matthew Kane and his wife Tracey, and Noel Kane and his wife Justine; as well as several nieces and nephews. Services: The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 8:30 p.m. at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 LaRue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 (GPS use the nearest cross street 1 Post Place).
