J. Otto Bost, 55, of Bethlehem, PA, died July 26, 2016, while vacationing with family in Banner Elk, NC. Born Aug. 27, 1960, Columbia, SC. Early education in Hickory, NC. Hockey goalie at Chestnut Hill Academy, Phila. '78. Employed as computer programmer, analyst, consultant, web developer. As an entrepreneur, founded Folkdude Creative Services, specializing in custom-built websites, software applications, audio engineering, photography, and videography. For ten years, was host/creator of weekly radio show, "Acoustic Eclectic," on radio station WDIY in Bethlehem. A gifted self-taught guitar player and singer-songwriter, Otto formerly played bass with the Western Piedmont Symphony and Youth Symphony of Hickory, NC, and was a member of the Sigmon Stringers bluegrass group. Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Regina; sons Steven and Justin; daughter, Tiffany; daughter-in-law, Diana Stoycheva; first grandchild, Phoebe; his parents, Raymond and Margaret Bost, of Hickory, NC; brother, Timothy and his wife, Pat Taylor, of Palmetto, FL; sister, Penelope Bost Schrum and her husband, Danny, of Lincolnton, NC; brother, Peter Bost, of Hickory, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
