Joseph Lipko, 89, of Allentown, died Aug. 9, 2011 at the Phoebe Home. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Nicholas and Anna (Wagner) Lipko. He was the devoted husband of the late Lillian Lipko for 59 years. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He retired from Western Electric after 35 years of service. He was a member of St. Johns U.C.C., Allentown. He was a member of the Bell Telephone Pioneers. He was a loving father, a proud grandfather, a devoted brother, and a caring neighbor and friend. Survivors: Son, Jeffrey D., husband of Robin of Hackettstown, NJ; daughter, Linda S., wife of Joseph Scavo of Allentown; granddaughter, Amanda Lipko, fiance of Tony Speed of Rochester, NY; brothers, William and Daniel. He was predeceased by five siblings. Services: 11 a.m. Wed., Aug. 17, 2011 at Weber Funeral Home, 1619 Hamilton St., Allentown, PA. Viewing: 9:30 a.m., Wed. until time of services at the funeral home. Interment in Laurel Cemetery.
