Kenneth R. Holland, Sr., 86, of Emmaus, died March 24, 2013 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the widower of Frances A. (Schmeltzle) Holland. Born in Topton, he was the son of the late George W. and Beulah (Hilbert) Holland. He was a knitter for the former Royal Manufacturers and an assembler for the former General Machine, Emmaus, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Zions Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville. He was a past member of the Milford Mens Bowling League, a life member of Emmaus Citizens Fire Co. #2, and a member of the Alburtis Senior Citizens. He honorably served his country in the Navy during WWII. Survivors: Sons, Kenneth R. Holland, Jr. and wife, Nancy, of Emmaus and Dennis R. Holland, Sr. and wife, Lucy, of Emmaus; brother, Melvin C. Holland and wife, Jennie, of Wylersville; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Wesley Holland and Lloyd Trexler; and a sister, Melba Kleppinger. Services: Funeral service Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at 11 a.m., in Schantz Funeral Home P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
