LeRoy R. Fahringer, 86, of Allentown, died at his home Monday, January 30, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Emma T. (Abbott) Fahringer of Allentown and celebrated 57 years of marriage together in July of 2011. Born in Stiles, he was a son of the late Leroy W. and Theresa (Fox) Fahringer. LeRoy was a Whitehall High School graduate and was an accomplished athlete, playing football, basketball and baseball as a Zephyr. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Navy in the Pacific Theater and a member of the American Legion. LeRoy retired from Mack Trucks in 1986 as a facilities manager. Prior to that he worked for 25 years for various construction companies around the Lehigh Valley. LeRoy was a member of Christ U.C.C. of Schoenersville. He was a past president of the Catasauqua Club as well as the American Society of Highway Engineers. Survivors: Along with his wife Emma; are his daughter, Joanne and husband James Pavlacka; sons, Lee J. and wife Beth and Robert W. and wife Kathy; five granddaughters; three great-grandsons; many nieces and nephews; sister Dorothy Fischl; brother, Richard and wife Susan. Leroy was preceded in death by a son, John; a sister, Helen Koser and brothers, Donald and Franklin. Services: Memorial services will be held at 11a.m. Friday, February 3, 2012 at Christ U.C.C. of Schoenersville, 5050 Airport Road, Allentown, 18109.
