Lester Jay Bacon
Lester Les Jay Bacon passed away on Friday, February 22, 2013 in Claremont, NH following an extended illness. Born the son of Lester Fay and Viola Tousley Bacon in Sheboygan, WI, Les was one of four children, all predeceased. Les was married to Anna Lee Akers Bacon for 56 years until her death in 2000. Les served in the United States Army Air Corp prior to a 36-year long career as an engineer at Buckeye Pipe Line Company where he served as a manager in the Right of Way department. Les was an active member of the Parkway Church of Christ in Allentown, PA and a 32nd Degree Mason out of the Reading, PA lodge. Les is remembered by his family as a steady provider who was always eager to help any way he could. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Survivors: Les leaves behind four children, Clayton Bacon of Lima, OH, Nancy OSullivan of Claremont, NH, Roger Bacon of Emmaus, PA, Phyllis Hale of Pittsburgh, PA; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Services: Private at the convenience of the family. Schantz Funeral Home P.C. Emmaus is handling arrangements.
