One of nine children, she was born in Bethlehem, to the late Alexander Ackerman, Sr. and Lena (Bauernhuber). Both Louise and her late husband, were the proprietors of Bobs Tavern, on 5th and Buchanan Streets in Bethlehem from 1948 to 1967. She was a member of the former Ss. Cyril & Methodius Parish, now Incarnation of our Lord Parish, Bethlehem. Louise was a avid reader who enjoyed books and magazines. She loved to play cards, going for car rides, and visiting her family and friends. Her enjoyment included her past vacations to the New Jersey Shore and the Pocono Mountains. Louise had a great love for real flowers in her home and on her lawn. She loved sightseeing and her trips to New York to see Broadway Shows. She was a very fine cook all these years, and she had a great love for sports, especially her Phillies and the Eagles. Louise cherished several international trips to Europe, especially the privilege she had twice of personally meeting in Rome with His Holiness, Blessed Pope John Paul II. Her Catholic Faith was the sustaining treasure throughout her entire life, and she had a special love of praying her daily Rosary. The family of the late Louise J. Cofenas extends its deepest appreciation to the Doctors, Nurses, Therapists, Aides, and Staff of Cedarbrook Fountain Hill for the wonderful commitment and care for Louise during her stay there when they lovingly cared for her like a member of their own families. Word alone cannot convey the sincerest thanks of her family to Cedarbrook Fountain Hill. Survivors: Louise dedicated her life to her family and will be lovingly remembered by her son, Dr. Robert G.
