Marie B. Bollinger
Marie B. Bollinger, 88, of L. Towamensing Twp died November 12, 2012 in her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Lloyd A. Bollinger, Sr. for the last 70 years. She was a longtime member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Trachsville. Marie worked as a cashier in the Palmerton High School cafeteria for many years. She was also the bookkeeper for the former Bollinger Brothers Construction. She bowled with the former Zincettes Club and the Tuesday Night Bowling Group. She was a member of the Carbon County Red Hat Society (Ruby Belles) and Order of the Eastern Star former John W. Luther Chapter, a Brownie and Girl Scout leader for 10 years, a member of the Friday Afternoon Senior Citizens Group and the Palmerton Hospital Auxiliary. Born in Aquashicola, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Blanche (Updegrave) Schaffer. Survivors: Husband; daughter, Connie and husband, Donald Holland of Palmerton; son, Lloyd Jr. and wife, Patricia of L. Towamensing Twp; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Harold and Carl. Services: 11 a.m., Thursday, November 15 in church, 500 Church Dr, Trachsville. Call 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, 145 Delaware Ave, Palmerton, and 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday in church.
