Mary E. Bauer, 95, of Macungie, died February 16, 2013 in HCR ManorCare, Allentown. She was the widow of Charles D. Bauer, Sr., who died December 23, 1978. Born in Kenhorst, Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Franklin A. and Grace (McCarthy) Drey. She was a member of the Lutheran Congregation of St. Peters Union Church, Macungie, where she formerly served as a Sunday School teacher. Survivors: Children, Joan B. (Boyer) Hildenbrand, Red Hill, Montgomery Co., Douglas A. Boyer, Macungie, Larry E., Boyer, Pottstown, Veronica L. (Boyer) Schuler, Quakertown, Charles D., Bauer Jr., Alburtis, Linwood R. Bauer, Alburtis, Lillian E. (Boyer) Hoffman, address unknown; sister, Minnie M. (Drey) Kline, Macungie. There are also 29 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; and 42 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra R. (Boyer) Miller-Grim; and three grandchildren. Services: Memorial services will be held Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. in St. Peters Union Church, 7863 St. Peters Rd., Macungie, with Reverend Jerel W. Gade officiating.
