Norman S. Farrell
Norman S. Farrell, 80, of Easton passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012 in St. Lukes Hospital Fountain Hill. He was the husband of the late Helga K. (Kawlath) Farrell. Born in Binghampton, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Jeanne (Kann) Farrell. Norman graduated from Yale University in 1955 and was a member of the Zeta Psi Fraternity. He worked as an Engineer for Bethlehem Steel at Sparrows Point, Ingersoll Rand, and the Fuller Company, as well as Easton Car and Construction which was founded by his grandfather. More recently, he specialized in building restorations, including Lafayettes Zeta Psi Fraternity. He was a member St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Whitehall. Norman was fiercely loyal to his friends and devoted to his community. He loved to travel, be with friends, woodworking, framing, baking, and reading history. He will be dearly missed. Survivors: A daughter, Elisabeth F. Berthasavage, her husband, Ron, and their children, Katherine and Thomas of West Lebanon, NH; a son, Sloan, his wife, Susan, and their children, Samuel, Caroline, and Isabelle of Arnold, MD; a sister, Helen Allen of Wakefield, RI. Services: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 234 Spring Garden Street, Easton, PA 18042.
