Ray Crouthamel Obituary

Ray C. Crouthamel
Ray C. Crouthamel, 83, of Wescosville, passed away Monday, July 18, 2011 in the home of his daughter. Born in Salisbury Township, he was the son of the late Clarence and Hattie (Siegfried) Crouthamel. Ray was predeceased by his wife Althea B. (Wagner) Crouthamel in February, 2000. He served his country honorably in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Ray was a welder and millwright at the former Bethlehem Steel for 37 years before retiring in 1989. Ray was a member of the Penn-Lehigh Unit of the Wally Byam Airstream Caravan Club for many years traveling thru all of the 50 states. Survivors: He is survived by a daughter, Christine D. Crouthamel of Allentown; sons Richard R. and wife Maggie Dominguez of Mount Holly, NJ, Robert R. and wife Eileen Beamish of Milwaukee, WI; seven grandchildren; two great grandsons; and his companion Janie Weil with whom he resided. Ray was predeceased by a brother, Robert and a sister Beatrice. Services: Services to be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2011 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, 46 E Susquehanna Street, Allentown. A viewing for family and friends to be held 9:30 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home. Interment to follow at Morgenland (Eastern Salisbury) Cemetery, Salisbury Township. Contributions: Memorial Contributions may be made in his name to St. Lukes VNA Hospice 1510 Valley Center Parkway, Suite 200 Bethlehem, PA 18017, The K.V. Knopp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
