Richard D. Blose
Richard D. Blose, 79, of Allentown, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2013 in Phoebe Home. He was the husband of June A. (Rickard) Blose. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in April 2013. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Robert A. and Ruth E. (Grim) Blose. Richard was a graduate of Allentown H.S., Class of 1953. He was a grocery clerk for Food Fair/Pantry Pride for 28 years until their closing. Mr. Blose then worked for the County of Lehigh for many years until retiring. He was a life-long member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Allentown, where he served as an usher. Richard was also a member of the Mountainville Lions Club. He was an avid bowler, loved antique cars and was a fan of the Phillies and NASCAR. Survivors: Wife; Children: Kevin M. of Bethlehem, Jeanine and her husband Curt Kowalewski of Berea, OH; Grandchildren: Susanah and Petr; Sister: Marilyn J. and her husband Harry A. Snyder, Jr. of Coplay. Richard was predeceased by a sister Barbara J. Wilson. Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday, Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 1335-37 Linden St., Allentown.
