Ronald G. Janz, Sr.
Ronald G. Janz, Sr., 78, of Schnecksville, died Saturday, February 16, 2013 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Gochanour) Janz. The couple celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary January 7. Born in Chicago, IL, January 31, 1935, Ronald was the son of the late Edward H. and Anna M. (Moll) Janz. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was employed as a Mechanical Engineer at Thomas & Betts, Inc. formerly located in New Jersey and prior to that, the former General Electric, Allentown. Ronald was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary where he served as Division Captain of the 5th District, Eastern Shore. He was of the Catholic faith. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Patricia; daughters, Cheryl L. Allen and her husband, Andy, of Allentown, Cathie P. Borman and her husband, Roger, of Coplay; daughter-in-law, Tammy Janz of Buckeye, WV; brother, Edward H. Janz of Cottonwood, AZ; grandchildren, Andrew, Collin, Kenneth, Samantha and Joseph; great-grandson, Ayden; predeceased by a son, Ronald G. Butch Janz, Jr. who died in 2003. Services: Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Kevin M. Gualano officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Wednesday in the funeral home. Private interment. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: www.hentzlemancares.com.
